Our Story
Amir Arian, founder and CEO of Hamsayeh International, grew up in a Muslim family in the Middle East. After coming to faith in Christ and leaving his homeland, he joined various mission agencies in India and Afghanistan, where he served for a number of years. It was during this period of time that God called him to work with the people he knew and understood best – Farsi-speakers from Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan.
After moving to the UK for further theological study, he also worked extensively among the Farsi-speaking diaspora. While serving as an apprentice at All Souls, Langham Place, he started translating Christianity Explored into Farsi and after adapting it, used it with many Farsi-speaking groups nationwide.
In 2009 he married Clare, who, to add to Amir’s experience of working in partnership with the English-speaking church, brought with her a background of 10 years in cross-cultural mission and training.
Together, they set up Hamsayeh International in 2011, their vision being to see Farsi-speakers saved and transformed by the Gospel and believers strengthened in their faith. All they seek to do, with God’s help, is to this end.
